Hello Everyone! ❤️
Happy October!
Its been a productive fall with hunting and caving adventures. Whew! Hopefully you have all been enjoying my shared experiences on social media; and I also hope you get a good laugh as I muddle my way with learning how to commentate my videos. LOL!
Some nifty things to report this month...Enjoy the newsletter!
With love,

Did you know that getting around 25–30 grams of protein within 30–60 minutes of waking up can be beneficial for women’s health? It’s true!
Whether you’re in your reproductive years, perimenopausal, or postmenopausal, ensuring adequate protein intake supports your overall health. Protein helps maintain muscle mass (which becomes especially important during perimenopause and beyond, when we naturally begin to lose muscle), provides steady energy, and supports a healthy metabolism (not eating enough protein especially in the morning can lead to weight retention).
A simple way to get this amount of protein in first thing is to find a good protein powder that works for you. There are many options available for all diet styles!
Unsure of how much protein you should be eating every day? Send me a message and I can help!
Now what about water? On average, women should aim for about 2.7 liters (around 11 cups) of total water per day — that includes all fluids and water-rich foods like fruits and veggies. If you’re active, spend time outdoors, or drink caffeine (which can have a mild diuretic effect), your needs may be even higher.
Staying hydrated helps support energy, focus, digestion, hormone balance, and healthy skin. Even mild dehydration can cause fatigue, brain fog, and headaches — things many of us often mistake for stress or lack of sleep.

As I continue learning about health to better support my patients and clients, I came across this fascinating book while exploring the topic of neuroplasticity — how our brains form new neural networks in response to experiences, learning, and injury.
This book beautifully blends both Western and Eastern medicine. It’s written by Tara Swart, who holds a PhD in Neuroscience and teaches at MIT. She has a strong background in Western medicine but was also raised in a family that valued practices like meditation and yoga.
Swart discusses the power of positive thinking and how it can lead to incredible changes in our lives. If you’ve ever read The Secret — a book about manifestation — this one has a similar theme, but with a scientific explanation of how and why it works.
She also provides some writing and creative exercises to get you on the way to embracing positivity!
Highly recommend!
Let me know if you read it!

Speaking of neuroplasticity and health, lets talk about Super Patches. I have spent weeks researching this product, and continue to learn more about it daily! It's exciting new technology from a Canadian company. So bare with me as this is going to be a bit of an information dump.
What are Super Patches? Super Patches are a type of drug free patch that is worn on the skin, it has little ridges (aka Vibrotactile Technology) that interact with skins neural response and helps to trigger our brain and body to provide a specific response.
The technology was designed by a software engineer. His mom has MS and he wanted to help her with balance and stability without drug interventions. So he took a software view of the brain and body and spend the last two decades working with doctors on developing a way that you can tap into the brain and improve the way our bodies work.
What kind of responses can they trigger? There are several different patches:
Liberty Patch - Enhanced balance and stability
Victory Patch - Enhanced strength, power and agility
REM Patch - Improved sleep
Defend Patch - Improved immune system
Lumi Patch - Improved skin complexion
Freedom Patch - Helps with pain
Boost Patch - Increase energy
Focus Patch - Improved concentration and attentiveness
Ignite Patch - Increase your resting metabolic rate and burn more calories
Peace Patch - Greater clam and clarity
I just received my order in the mail so I am in the early stages of getting patients to try them out. I myself put the Peace patch on this morning and, well I'm not going to lie, I did feel more calm and at ease today. And in todays busy and stressful world, who doesn't want that?
Oh! Fun fact, their research shows that the benefits are not due to placebo either. The company has put a lot of time and money into research to show how the products work. And all that research can be viewed on their website if you like to get a little nerdy like me.
If anyone would like to try them out, I do have some in supply here at the studio: 7 day trials, or full month packs. Just shoot me an email!
