Movement with Persis *July 2025 Newsletter*
Persis Meisters | DEC 4, 2025
Hello everyone! Welcome to the July Newsletter!
Thank you all for being so understanding as I fully embrace the busyness of summer—farm life, gardening, camping, and everything in between!
As much as I’m loving all the time spent outdoors, I do miss connecting with you through emails and sharing more regularly on social media. But I did make a promise that I would pull back from posting so much over the summer, and give myself a much needed recharge.
I hope you're all enjoying this beautiful summer so far.
And now, without further ado… let’s dig into a recap of June, and a look at what’s coming up!
-Persis ❤️

What an incredible weekend at our first Master Your Energy Workshop!
It was so inspiring to see a group of amazing women come together to explore self-care practices, connect with nature, and support one another.
A heartfelt thank you to each participant—and to my yoga mentor, Melissa—for helping make this a truly magical and transformative experience.❤️
And an extra special thank you to Bre for bringing her crystal bowls and serenading us with a sound bath.
And another extra special thank you to those who stayed at the end of the weekend to spend a few minutes to help me weed my garden. Such an unexpected gift that I am truly grateful for. It’s been requested as a mandatory part of meditation for next years event!🌱

I'm excited to announce that starting late July, I’ll be offering Ionic Foot Bath Detox sessions in the studio — a gentle, restorative experience that supports your body’s natural detoxification and healing processes.
Using the Platinum Energy Systems™ — one of the only research-backed, medical-grade units available — this 30-minute session helps promote the detoxification of environmental toxins and heavy metals through the feet, an area long recognized in holistic healing traditions.
Potential benefits include:
Improved acid-alkaline balance
Reduction in built up toxins and heavy metals in the body
A greater sense of physical, emotional, and mental well-being
Super clean feeling feet!🦶🏻
A full web page with more details will be live soon!
🦶 Cost: $120 per session
🗓️ Booking opens soon — stay tuned!
Im not just talking about doing Asanas/poses in the forest (although I braved the mosquitos and did that too). Im talking about applying yoga philosophy (slowing down, accepting things as they are, etc...), and simply living life to it's very best... while on an adventure deep in the backcountry.
Recently my husband and I went to a very remote lake high in the mountains. It's a special place to us both and we try to get there every few years.
Getting there is no easy feat: the terrain is rugged, the weather unpredictable (hot and sunny one day, snowing the next), and there’s always the chance of crossing paths with a grizzly. It’s wild, raw, and incredibly humbling.
So here are a few photos and some highlights of the adventure!
.
You all know how much I love my cold plunges, but it gets a little more challenging in the summer with the heat. Here at the lake cold plunging also wasn't much of an option, if you want to be clean...you have to take a dip in the lake. And nothing gives you more incentive to jump in like a bunch of blood thirsty horseflies who see fresh meat.

While on this trip my husband and I spent a lot of time fishing. Gives us time to get away from the bugs, enjoy the scenery (we saw two deer near our camp over the course of a few days), and bring home some tasty meals to eat this winter.

Speaking of meals, it was wonderful to really take the time to enjoy meals, not only eating them but cooking them. I cooked every single meal over the campfire while we were there.

And of course there was yoga! But don't let the image fool you, I wasn't 100% relaxed while I was filming the first instalment of "Yoga in the Wild". Truth be told I have a rather irrational fear of grizzly bears, for no apparent reason.
We were safe, we had bear spray and air horns. But for most of the trip I had a really hard time relaxing and simply enjoying nature, for fear that a bear would come along and do something horrible. It was a bit of an internal struggle that I knew I had to reflect on during and after the trip.
I did breath work, I went for walks to connect with nature and get out of my negative headspace.
And after much reflection and chatting with my mentor when I got home, I came to the conclusion that fear is normal. It's an innate part of being a human, fear helps us to preserve our lives. BUT, it's important not to let fear control us. I have to find balance in that fear. And also to accept that if something is going to happen there isn't anything I can do about it. Lets just say it's a work in progress!
Side note: Nature did reward me when I decided to get out of camp, let go of some of that fear, and finally go for a walk with the dog (only took me 4 days lol!). I came across a beautiful bald eagle flight feather, which I brought home with me. 🪶

And so concludes the July Newsletter! Thank you for taking the time to read!
Now get out there, get some movement in, breathe, and keep BEING POSITIVE!
