Audio Book Recommendation: Tony Robbins: Unleash the Power Within

I have made it a focus this year to try and inspire everyone to get out there and live their very best life. Lets be honest, I'm not the best motivational speaker. I wish I was! But there are people out there who's gift is to inspire, motivate and get you feeling like you could wrestle and alligator and win!

So I've been busy listening to podcasts, Ted Talks and books...on the hunt for some individuals who inspire that I can share with you! This month is Tony Robbins: Unleash the Power Within.

This audio "book" is a short form of Tony Robbins live on stage teaching his course Unleash the Power Within.

As per the description in Audible here are some of the things he covers:

  • Break old patterns and destroy limiting beliefs
  • Become a decisive person who takes massive, intelligent action
  • Condition yourself mentally, emotionally, and physically to create staggering results
  • Find and develop a strategy of success
  • Have more confidence and self-esteem
  • Develop new communication skills

You can listen to it ad free on Spotify or Audible. If you don't have a subscription to those you can also find it on YouTube, but there are ads.

Slack App: Movement Community

Over the years, I’ve realized that a significant part of my work is providing accountability for my clients. Accountability can take many forms, such as regular sessions, daily or weekly check-ins, having an accountability partner, or engaging with a supportive community through in-person classes and more.

One of my biggest goals for Movement With Persis is to foster accountability, build community, and spread positivity. Achieving your goals is always easier with support—it truly takes a village!

Fun Fact:

  • Having someone to hold you accountable increases your chances of achieving your goals by 65–70%.
  • Without accountability, the success rate drops to just 25%.

To help with this, I recently created a digital community on an app called Slack—think of it as a family group chat for your health journey! Inside the app, you’ll find:

Big Things Coming in June 2025:

2 Day Self Care Workshop

I am very excited to announce that my yoga mentor, Melissa, and I will be hosting a 2 day Self Care workshop here at the studio in Joe Rich. We are still ironing out all the details but here are some of the exciting things we are planning:

  • Yoga, Pranayama (breath work), and Meditation brought to you by Melissa who has over 46 years experience in Eastern/Chinese Medicine, Yoga, energetic healing, and so much more.
  • Nature walks and walking meditation in the forests of Joe Rich, guided by myself.
  • Enjoy the beauty and serenity of my mountainside home in Joe Rich, 10 acres backing onto endless forest. Surrounded by nature, horses, gardens and fields full of wild flowers!
  • Fun yard games including giant Jenga, cornhole, and horse shoes, to enjoy on lunch breaks and after the days lessons are done.

Melissa is traveling all the way from Mexico to co-host this incredible experience. I met her a year ago in Vernon, where she was teaching a similar self-care course. After taking the course, I was so inspired by her teachings that I knew I wanted to learn from her. She brings amazing energy, exceptional skill, and a lifetime of experience in healing and health.
