Hello, everyone! Welcome to the February Newsletter!
I’d like to begin by thanking everyone who reached out via email or phone last month in response to the “Inspiration” note in my January Newsletter.
Hearing from so many of you in the Movement with Persis Community about how my social media posts have been helping you get started—or stay focused—on your journey toward better health through movement, cold therapy, nature therapy, and more has been incredibly heartwarming.
Your feedback has been a true source of inspiration for me to keep pushing forward with my mission to grow our Movement Community and to continue sharing online. Building an online business can sometimes feel isolating—just me and my computer when not in Zoom sessions—so receiving your messages makes all the difference. They remind me why I do what I do and keep my fire burning!

I have had many people inquire about doing cold therapy! I am so excited about everyones enthusiasm to improve their health!

So to start off the month of February I thought we would do a 30 day Cold Therapy Challenge. Keep in mind this is NOT a cold plunge challenge (that comes later!). Cold therapy should not be taken lightly, and it is important to know the risks and how to minimize them.
Cold therapy can be potentially dangerous if you have a heart condition, or have uncontrolled high blood pressure. If you have a heart condition or uncontrolled high blood pressure I strongly urge you to reach out to me, or talk to your doctor, BEFORE you start any type of cold therapy. If you haven't had your blood pressure taken in a while, stop in at your local pharmacy to get it checked. Or if you are near my studio, pop in and I can take it for you.
It is important to start off with small doses of cold therapy like we are going to do this month, in order to allow your body to gradually adapt to the cold. This is a safe way to start introducing cold therapy, and will also likely increase the chances that you stick with it (rather than just jumping in a cold bucket of water with no prior exposure).
